They established their home in Devils Lake and 3 months after their marriage, Julius was called to the service of his country. Betty worked at the School for the Deaf and when Julius returned home, they moved to a farm at Fort Totten and here they lived, worked and began their family of five children who love and adore them.
In 1962, they moved to Milwaukie, Oregon and Betty worked at Main Street Cleaners until retiring. After retiring, Julius hired her to work for him at Stanley Proto Tool Company. In 1987 they moved back to Devils Lake where they made this their home through the years. Betty worked as a waitress in many of the local café’s and was active in St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Patricia’s Circle.
