Annie Marie was born on January 16, 1939 at Fort Totten, ND the daughter of Archie and Gertrude (Crow) Redfox Sr. Her adopted parents, Ephraim and Mary Hill Sr. were also very important in her life. She spent her grade school and most of her high school years at the School for the Blind at Bathgate, ND and graduated from the School for the Blind in Grand Forks, ND. Annie then attended and graduated from the American Indian Bible School in Phoenix, Arizona. Annie returned to North Dakota and the Spirit Lake Nation where she worked with the local Food Pantry and the Youth at the Bdecan Presbyterian Church. She also served on the Board of the Spirit Lake Elderly Program. Annie’s faith sustained her through many hardships. Even though she was legally blind, Annie read her Bible from cover to cover four times. She was the church organist and loved to sing and share those hymns of faith at weddings and funerals. She enjoyed traveling to the different revivals and tent meetings throughout the country. Annie shared her faith and the blessings she received from God in so many ways. She always had a warm welcome for anyone who came to her home and her door was always open to her grandchildren and their friends. Again, Annie did not let her handicap keep her from making hundreds of hand stitched crazy quilts and braided rugs. She also was truly dedicated to participating in the monthly, Elderly’s Day Outing. This was a time of fun and fellowship for her. When her health kept her closer to home and family, Annie enjoyed the company of Kiesha’s little guard dog, Cocoa. Annie leaves to mourn her passing her aunt, Mary Hill; brothers and sisters, Archie (Geraldine) Redfox Jr., Sharon (Albin) Georgeson, Hilda (Louie) Garcia, Alberta Redfox, Kay Redfox and Cecil Longie; god children, Tyler Redfox, Tia Hobson, Ira Woodhull, Katherine Wentzel and Isaac Woodhull; Many cousins, many, many, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
