Earl W. Haugland, 91 of Devils Lake, formerly of Hampden, ND died on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2007 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake.
Funeral Services for Earl will be held on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Devils Lake with Rev. Rafe Allison officiating. Burial will be in the Storlie Cemetery, rural Hampden in the spring.
Visitation for Earl will be at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as Casket Bearers will be Tory Haugland, Bradley Haugland, Gary Haugland, Dane Lunde, Ronald Barnes, Michael Haugland, Richard Kurtz, Andrew Haider, Jason Unruh, Brad Butler, Eric Wittman and Harold Boesl.
Music will be provided by Jodi Kurtz and Joni Haugland, vocalists and Brenda Swenseth, pianist.
Earl William was born on February 26, 1916 near Hampden, ND to William and Synnove (Skorstad) Haugland. He was raised and educated in the Hampden area. Earl was united in marriage to Norma Larson, October 5, 1940 at Nekoma, ND. They established their home on a farm in Billings Township, near Hampden where they farmed until 1972. They moved to Devils Lake in 1974, where he worked as a carpenter, until he retired in 2000.
Earl was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Charles Barnes; brothers, Wallace, Maurice and Conrad Haugland; sisters, Vivian Haugland and Ella Dunn.
