Nora Caroline Anderson

Nora C. Anderson, 87 of Devils Lake, formerly of Hampden, ND died on Friday, November 24, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake Funeral Services for Nora will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Zoar Lutheran Church, Hampden. Rev. Craig Wentzel will officiate and burial will be in the Storlie Cemetery, rural Hampden. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Serving as Casket Bearers for Nora will be her grandchildren. Nora Caroline Miller was born on December 14, 1918 at Loma, ND the daughter of Leonard and Nora (Dahl) Miller. She attended country school and Hampden High School. On November 19, 1936, Nora was united in marriage to Earl W. Anderson at Starkweather, ND. They established their home on the farm at rural Hampden where they lived, worked and raised their family. In 1983, they retired and moved into Hampden. Earl died on March 10, 1987. Nora continued to make her home in Hampden until 1999 when she moved to the Edmore Rest Home. In 2003, she moved into Devils Lake and made her home at Lake Country Manor. For the past few months, she has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center. Nora devoted her life to caring for the beautiful family she loved and cherished and for the blessing of not only grandchildren, but great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Nora was a member Zoar Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway, Senior Citizens Club and the Rebekah Lodge all of Hampden. Nora is survived by her loving family: Children: Janice Wolf and her husband, Howard of Medford, MN Floyd Anderson and his wife, Judith of Northwood, ND Karen Lindseth and her husband, Newton of Devils Lake Thomas Anderson and his wife, Sylvia of Chino Hills, California Daughter-In-Law: Judy (Steve) Heisler, Cando, ND Grandchildren: Melanie (Brad) Haugen, Northfield, MN Steve (Bev) Wolf, Woodbury, MN Nola (Jeff) Karow, Fairbault, MN Neil Wolf, Milledgeville, Georgia Noreen (Rob) Brommer, Rosemount, MN Julie (Jeff) Johnson, Hatton, ND Tamara Anderson, Eagan, MN Thomas Anderson, Moorhead, MN Todd (Becky) Anderson, Hampden Tedd Anderson, Littleton, Colorado Jay Anderson, Cando, ND Joy (Terry) Roppel, Alsen, ND Kelly Lindseth, Bellevue, Washington Michael Lindseth, Mesa, Arizona Erik (Christina) Lindseth, Signal Hill, California Michael (LeAnn) Anderson, Wildomare, California Andrea (Bud) Birch, Costa Mesa, California Ed Anderson, Santa Ana, California Twenty-Three Great Grandchildren Five Great Great Grandchildren Four Nieces and Nephews also survive. Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; son, Richard E. Anderson; daughter, LaVonne Anderson and brother, Floyd Miller.
