Arthur A. Johnson, 71 of Devils Lake formerly of Jamestown, ND died on Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake.
A Graveside Service for Arthur will be held on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Arthur Albert Johnson was born on February 18, 1935 at Jamestown, ND the son of Albert G. and Lydia (Bowden) Johnson. He attended school at Windsor, ND then worked for several years with his father in the Water Well Drilling business. He also served with the Jamestown National Guard Unit for 6 years. Arthur was employed with West Inn Hide and Fur of Jamestown for a year. Arthur and his brother, Lloyd moved to Salem, Oregon and worked as independent contractors in a number of various fields. In the early 1990’s, Arthur returned to North Dakota to be closer to family and was then cared for by his brother, Donald for a number of years.
Arthur had several hobbies through the years, but he especially enjoyed painting pictures on glass.

Nieces and Nephews: Allen (Nikki) Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, Tony (Karen) Johnson, Carrie Johnson, Angie (Marty) Wolfe, April Johnson, Richard Johnson, Cindy Douglas, Connie Johnson and Michelle Douglas.
Several Great Nieces and Nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd; sister, Elaine Windberg and nephew, Jason Johnson.
