Catherine T. Thompson, 72 of Tokio, ND died on Friday morning, July 7, 2006 at MedCenter One Hospital in Bismarck, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Fr. Paul Ruge will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
The Wake for Catherine will be held at St. Michael’s Recreation Center on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m.
The Procession to St. Michael’s Recreation Center will leave from the Wal-Mart Parking Lot on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Serving as Active Casket Bearers for Catherine, Damien Green, Mahlen Redfox Sr., Jeremy Longie, Steve Redfox, Blaine LeftBear and Ryan LeftBear.

Catherine T. Demarce was born in Fort Totten, ND on March 12, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Ironhawk) Demarce Sr. She was reared and educated in the Fort Totten area. Catherine was at one time married to Clarence Leftbear Sr.
Catherine was united in marriage to Art Thompson at St. Michael, ND and they have had over 26 years together. They established their home in Tokio where they lived, worked and cared for their family. She also worked for a time at Sioux Manufacturing in Fort Totten.
Catherine was a member of the Spirit Lake Senior Citizens Club and also enjoyed sewing many beautiful star quilts. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her grandchildren and other family.
Catherine is survived by her husband, Arthur Thompson, Tokio

Daughters: Bonnie Leftbear and Maxine (Longie) Paul both of Tokio
Brothers: Andrew Demarce Sr. and Thaddeus Demarce Sr.
Sister: Hilda Weiker all of Tokio
Aunt: Celina Ironhawk of St. Michael

Fifty-Six Great Grandchildren
Special Granddaughters: Renae Mosher, Kaylean Lohnes and Kasa Lohnes
Adopted Son: Tony McDonald
Adopted Brother: Ambrose Longie
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Anna Jane Quintana; sons, Willard LeftBear, Carl Longie; grandsons, Todd Yankton and Konrad Green; one great grandson, Bol Jacob Deng.
