Della Rose Felix

Della Rose Felix, “KimimiLa Waste Win” (Pretty Butterfly Woman), 38 of Devils Lake, ND passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 with loving family and friends at her side. The Wake for Della will be held at St. Michael’s Recreation Center, St. Michael, ND on Friday (Today) beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael’s Recreation Center will leave at 4:00 p.m. today from Wal-Mart. Mass of Christian Burial for Della will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Fr. Brian Moen will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Serving as Casket Bearers for Della will be Jesse Felix, Jeffrey Felix, Darren Walking Eagle, Jason LaRock, Lyle Morin, Waylon Smith, Johnnie Gaking, Clarence Morin, Nicklaus Morin. Music will be provided the Eagle Tail and Rhythm Riders Drum Groups and the family welcomes anyone else who would like to share their music. Honorary Bearers will be Laurie Smith, Janifer Jensen, Erlinda McKay, Paula Yankton, Jessie “Pillows” Gillum, Clinton DeVier, Mary Thompson, Lori Green Gourd, Bill Felix, Jane Lamrose, Sandra Miller, Lynessa Miller, Ryan Redroad, Daniel ManyRibs Jr., Gene and Alpha Lang, Darren and Wanda Trottier and family, Cherilyn Strande, Shelbi Bryl, Altru 5th Floor ICU Staff, REM Staff in Devils Lake, Four Winds High School Class of 1989, all of Della’s family in North and South Dakota. Della Rose, the loving daughter of Deborah Morin and Everett “Butch” Felix Sr. was born on September 13, 1971 at Devils Lake, ND. Della grew up, lived and worked in the Devils Lake area her entire life. She attended elementary school in Devils Lake and graduated from Four Winds High School with the class of 1989. Della would spend her brief life here as a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and dear relative and friend to many. She will be greatly missed. Della Rose leaves her loving family. Her sons Joshua Frank Felix and Jacoby Wyatt Smith of Devils Lake; mother Deborah Morin also of Devils Lake; father Everett Felix Sr. and Annie of Sisseton, SD; brother Everett “Sonny Bear” Felix of Mission, SD; niece Skyla Felix also of Mission; grandmothers Betty Morin of Devils Lake, Gloria Jetty, Marie Baker, Beatrice Abrahamson and Vivian Jetty; many aunties, uncles, and cousins from North Dakota and South Dakota. Della was preceded in death by her grandparents Frank Morin, Everett and Dolly Felix; special nephew Delano Gaking and many aunts, uncles and cousins. All of Della’s family and friends were special to her and if we forgot to mention a name it was not intentional and we ask your understanding in this very difficult time.
