Geoffrey S. Lambert Sr. 33, of Fort Totten, ND died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake from complications of asthma, an illness he has battled for 16 years. A Wake for Geoff will be held on Wednesday, June 16th at the Fort Totten Recreation Center, Fort Totten beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday from Wal-Mart. The Funeral Service for Geoff will be on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Fort Totten Recreation Center. Fr. Charles Leute O.P. will officiate and Geoff will be laid to rest at St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Crowhill. Active Pallbearers: Sean O. Lambert, Myron K. If anyone was missed, it wasn’t intended. We thank you. Geoffrey S. Lambert was born on March 1, 1977 to Charles M. Lambert and Adeline Herald in Devils Lake, ND and baptized on March 13, 1981 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. He attended his early years of school in the Ft. Totten and Wahpeton area. He began his high school education at Pierre Indian Learning Center in Pierre, SD and graduated in 1996 from Chemawa Indian School in Salem, OR. Geoff has been with his common law wife Jessica Blackbird since 1997. They made their home in the Ft Totten area. They had three wonderful children throughout their relationship: Shastene, Dondre and Geoffrey, Jr. Geoffrey had worked various jobs over the years in different areas in North Dakota. He started his working career as a Blackjack/Craps dealer at Spirit Lake Casino & Resort in St. Michael, ND. This type of work he found very stimulating because of his interest in gaming. He did some firefighting for a brief stint in 1999, though he was forced to look at other occupations because of his asthma. He has experimented with other occupations from Ceramic Tiling to grill/cook while in the Fargo area. Geoff enjoyed numerous activities which kept him quite busy. He enjoyed playing video games, basketball and poker with his many friends. Most important to Geoff was spending time with his children, family and friends. Survived by his children: Shastene Lee Lambert, Dayton Jay Lambert, Dondre Demitrez Lambert and Geoffrey S.
