Bruce A. Anderson

Bruce A. Anderson, 49 of Devils Lake, ND died on Friday, May 12, 2006 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Bruce will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Devils Lake with Rev. Justin Schmidt officiating. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Bruce was born on March 23, 1957 at Devils Lake, ND the son of Victor H. and Dorothy (McBride) Anderson. He was reared and educated in Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake High School in the class of 1975. He attended NDSU-Bottineau for a year. Bruce was united in marriage to Charme Ann Blake on June 7, 1980 in Devils Lake. They established their home in Devils Lake where they lived, worked and raised their family. He worked with his father at Car Quest until 1995 and at the time of his death was working at Marketplace Motors. He was a long time member of the Devils Lake Elks Lodge. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, boating and sailing. He was the ultimate UND Hockey fan and would have been a good food critic as he always enjoyed seeking out and tasting gourmet food where ever he could find it. But his greatest love was always his family and dear friends. Bruce is survived by his wife, Charme Daughter: Ashley Anderson Son: Michael Anderson both at home in Devils Lake Brothers: Jay Anderson and his wife, Donna, Owatona, MN Douglas Anderson and his wife, Jeannette, Methow, Washington Sister; Vicki Jo Dahl and her husband, Mark, Redman, Washington Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law; Marlyn and Mavis Blake, Devils Lake Brothers-In-Law and Sister-In-Law: Kardell Blake, Egeland, ND Karen Westemeier and husband, Dan, Bisbee, ND Several Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his parents.
