Darlene L. Feather, 51 of Fort Totten and St. Michael, ND died on Wednesday morning, June 2, 2010 at the Triumph Hospital, Mandan, ND. A Wake will be held at the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael on Sunday, June 6, 2010 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael’s Tekakwitha Center will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday from Wal-Mart. Mass of Christian Burial for Darlene will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Moen will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Serving as Casket Bearers for Darlene will be Dusty Feather, Elijah Feather, Kelsey Feather, Jason Feather, Stacy Feather Jr. and Calvin Feather. Darlene Lou was born on April 12, 1959 in Devils Lake, ND to Charles and Josephine (Adolph) Feather. Darlene attended Warwick School from kindergarten through the ninth grade. Darlene worked in the housekeeping department at Mystic Lake and also at the Spirit Lake Casino for a time and was also employed with the Spirit Lake Tribal Health working with the Child’s Safety Program. Darlene enjoyed playing at the Casino and watching TV. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Darlene is survived by her four daughters, Rosanne Lynn Feather, Roxane Leigh Feather and Robin Marie Feather all of Minneapolis, MN and Josephine Rose Feather of Mahnomen, Minnesota; special friend, Ivan Blackcloud of Fort Totten; brothers, Melvin (Lou) Feather of Bismarck and Virgil (Vonnie) Feather of Tokio; sister, LaVerne (Alvin) Bear of Fort Totten; foster mother, Rose Wirth of Devils Lake; seven granddaughters and eight grandsons; Cassandra Hartland, Shaylyn Hartland, Rustin Hartland, Kane Bonga, Autumn WhiteBuffalo, Renee Cavanaugh, Chasity Feather, Keshaun Feather, Juan Feather, Donavan Feather, Duan Feather, Sanchez Brown, Ottawa Brown, Samera LittleCloud and Fabian Wakanabo Jr.; favorite niece, Krissy (Robert) Richotte, the family pet, Gizmo BlackCloud Feather and many nieces, nephews and cousins; Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; brothers, Francis Feather, Richard Feather, Gary Feather, Stacy Feather Sr. and Raphael Feather and sister, Charlotte Davis.
