James Andrew Bonn

James A. Bonn, 41 of rural Mylo, ND died on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center, Minot, ND with his loving family at his side. Funeral Services for James will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wolford Lutheran Church, Wolford, ND with burial in the Mylo Community Cemetery, Mylo, ND. Rev. Deborah Stave will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Serving as Casket Bearers for James will be Roger Bonn, Brian Bonn, Mike Korb, Keith Church, Terry Church and Jeff Martin. Music will be Congregational Hymns with LaNae Hartvickson as organist. James Andrew was born on July 19, 1969 at Rolette, ND the son of Richard and Carol (Stewart) Bonn. He lived most of his life in the Bisbee/Mylo area and attended Bisbee-Egeland Public School. James worked for many of the area farmers through the years and also did road construction for several months. The past few years, James worked for his Dad on the farm. James’ passion was hunting, especially deer hunting. He had also started doing some moose hunting which he had come to enjoy very much. Driving around the countryside with his dog, Duke was a great pastime too. James had talents that were very welcome when working on the farm, especially his mechanical abilities. James always graciously and as a first priority used those talents to help his friends and neighbors. Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, dear friend and neighbor-may you rest in peace. James is survived by his parents, Richard and Carol Bonn, Mylo; brothers, Lee Bonn and his wife Janet of Fargo, ND, Allen Bonn and his wife, Lorrie of Churchs Ferry, ND; sister, Katherine and her husband, Jason Ayres of New Jersey; nephews and niece, Blake, Brennan and Madison Bonn; Dalton, Cole and Aaron Bonn; many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Helen Bonn and Roy and Jessie Stewart.
