Justin Grant Littleghost

Justin G.”J” (Herman) Littleghost, 44 of St. Michael, ND died early Wednesday morning, November 3, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in rural St. Michael. Mass of Christian Burial for Justin will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Fr. Brian Moen will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. A Wake will be held at St. Michael’s Recreation Center on Sunday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael’s Recreation Center will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday from the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort. Serving as Casket Bearers for Justin will be Robert Herman Jr., Dustin Dunn Sr., William St. Pierre, Emilio Cruz, Peter Belisle, Chris Anderson, Todd Belgarde and Michael Belisle. Honorary Bearers will be Geneva and Wesley BigTrack, Allan Little, Joseph Little, Robert Little Jr., Michael Little, Big Dave Lawrence, Carrie BigHorse, Steve Redfox, Mash Redfox, Terry Ross, Vanessa and Mark Littleghost, Peter Belisle, Tony and Vina McDonald, Mike and Libby, Luther, all those who assisted at the scene of the accident, all of the Littleghost Family from St. Michael and all of Justin’s friends we may have forgotten. Music will be provided by Tony and Vina McDonald and the Rhythm Riders. Justin was born on November 27, 1965 at Devils Lake, ND the loving son of Joseph Herman Sr. and Arlene Littleghost. He lived most of his life on the Spirit Lake Nation. He worked at various jobs, including Sioux Manufacturing Corporation. He also put his talents to use helping to build the new park and recreation area on the Spirit Lake Nation. Justin is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Alicia Faye Ironhawk and family; his mother, Arlene Lovejoy-Gomez and his father, Joe (Carol) Herman Sr.;spouse, Ila Mason and her children Keondra and Lucus Mason; brothers Billy (Candida) Decoteau, Richard (Robyn) Abrahamson Jr., Bernie (Betty) Montes, Joseph “Chip” Herman Jr., Casey Brown and Billy Herman; sisters, Sherri (Mark) Guy, Ivy (Daniel) Lovejoy, Casey Lovejoy, Ashley Lovejoy, Carol (Chris) Littleghost, Jovelle Campbell, Lesa (Renato) Rivera and Lynelle (Raul) Cruz; adopted sisters, Robin (Duane) Smith, Angie (Murle) Richotte and Holly (Justin) Blacksmith; grandfather, Pierre Culbertson; aunts, Marceline St. Pierre, Estelle (John) Hennager, Patty Shaw, Linda Herman, Shirley Redroad, Ernestine Herman, Celeste Herman, Catherine Howard, Maxine Littleghost, Sheila Blueshield, Darla Blueshield, June Blueshield, Adeline Blueshield, Karen Blueshield, Julie Blueshield Johnson, Lorna Walking Eagle, Patty Sam and Monica DuBois; uncles, Leroy Littleghost, Skip Longie, Buddy Longie, Eric DuBois and Lawrence Littleghost Sr.; favorite nieces, Lisa Little, Angie Little, Alicia Guy and Tamara Feather; favorite nephews, Derrick Guy and Eddie Alcalan.
