Wendelin W. DuBois, 23 of Bismarck, ND died on Sunday, June 4, 2006 in Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial for Wendelin will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND with Fr. Paul Ruge as the celebrant. The visitation and Rosary for Wendelin will be held at the Tekakwitha Center in St. Michael on Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Services in Bismarck will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck with Pastor Kermit Culver officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck immediately following the service. The Procession to Tekakwitha Center in St. Michael will leave from the Wal-Mart Parking Lot at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Serving as Casket Bearers for Wendelin will be Anthony Monroe, Ernest Coppage, Ryan Werner, Murray Feather, Pernell Cavanaugh and Richard Cavanaugh. Honorary Pallbearers will be Toby Bosch, Denver Spotted Horse, Merle Red Bear, Austin Smith, Nathan Smith, Joseph Johson and Madonna Gonzalez and all of Chubby’s many friends and relatives. Wendelin Wayne DuBois was born October 13, 1982 in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Maureen Johnson and Justin DuBois. At the age of 4 he moved with his mother and siblings to Bismarck. He attended Northridge Elementary School through sixth grade and went on to Simle Junior High School and graduated from Marmot High School at Mandan, ND in May of 2001. Wendelin later went on to Job Corps in Minot for Culinary Art School in 2002. Wendelin loved traveling and going to pow-wows, liked fishing, playing basketball and being around friends and family. He also enjoyed wrestling with his niece and nephews. Wendelin was always a “a happy-go-lucky” guy and was always the center of attention. He loved art work and wanted to go to tattoo schooling. He was a loving and caring son, brother, nephew, and uncle who will be dearly missed, especially his smile. We love you. He is survived by his Mother; Maureen (Perry) Halsey, Bismarck Father: Justin DuBois, Belcourt Sisters: Vera (Anthony) Monroe Kara Halsey Justine DuBois Brothers: Wayden DuBois Justin DuBois Larry DuBois Nephews: Raiquan and Tyrese Monroe Niece: Amani Monroe Special Aunt: Suzie Abraham Rainbow God Children: Elijah, Madison and McKenzie Bosch Special Friend: Karen Hall He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Shirley Johnson Sr. and Alice Joshua-DuBois and many other family members.
