Louise M. Bachmeier, 52 of Devils Lake, ND died on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial for Louise will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. Dale Kinzler will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Louise will be her brothers, Jack Rader and Peter Denault, her grandson, Joseph Denault, her nephew, Jesse Bachmeier and her brothers-in-law, Rex Overton and Dennis Sollom. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren, Anthony Hoffart Jr., Amanda Kinzler and Ariel Pledger.
Louise Mae was born on July 2, 1957, in Cavalier, ND, the daughter of Albert and Sharon (Zaste) Denault. She lived and was educated in the Walhalla and Hannah, North Dakota area.
Louise met the love of her life, Frank Bachmeier in 1981 and they lived, worked and raised their family in the Devils Lake area. They were united in marriage in 1996. When first moving to Devils Lake, Louise worked as a waitress in many of the area restaurants and bars. She worked for a few years at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort and most recently was employed with REM and Fourth Corp working with handicapped children and adults until failing health forced her to retire.
Louise always enjoyed a lively game of Bingo and trips to area casinos. But nothing brought her more pride and joy than her children and grandchildren and she loved spending time with family and friends.
Louise leaves behind her loving family; her husband, Frank of Devils Lake; daughters, Marie Delorme and her husband Wayne of Minot, ND-Lori Greene and her husband Robert of Devils Lake-Jennifer McQueen and her husband Mike-Melissa Pledger and special friend Ken all of Minot-Michelle Morin and Jessica Pledger both of Devils Lake; step-children, Jason Bachmeier and his wife Jessica-Terri Harpestad and her husband Wayne and Daniel Bachmeier all of Minot; Twenty-Two Grandchildren; her mother, Sharon Rader and husband, Leland of Devils Lake; brothers, Randy (Joanie) Denault, Springfield, Oregon-Kevin Denault also of Springfield-Pete Denault, Fargo and Jack Rader of Devils Lake; sisters, Sue (Dennis) Sollom, Raeann (Rex) Overton and Mary Rader all of Fargo; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Louise was preceded in death by her father Albert; sister Lorraine McNeely and father-in-law and mother-in-law Peter and Klara Bachmeier.
