Sharon Faul, 65 of Devils Lake, formerly of Hannah, ND died on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Heartland Care Center in the loving care of her family. Mass of Christian Burial for Sharon will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with Fr. Peter Sharpe celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Graveside Services for Sharon will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Wales, ND. Serving as Casket Bearers for Sharon will be Gerald Howatt, Mark Howatt, Greg Zeis, Mark Estenson, Jason Bergman, Jared Estenson, Randall Howatt, and Adam Howatt. Reading the Scriptures will be Rodney Howatt and Shawn Howatt Gift Bearers will be Lori Howatt and Susan Estenson Music will be provided by Patty Cote. Sharon was born on June 29, 1945 at Langdon, ND, the daughter of Maurice and Phyllis ((Fischer) Howatt. She was raised and educated in the Hannah area, graduating from Hannah High School in 1963. Sharon moved to Moorhead, Minnesota where she lived and worked in the area for several years. Sharon married Ardell Faul on January 21, 1968 at Moorhead. They moved to Miami, Florida and Sharon worked in the local college bookstore for 7 years until the family moved to Gainsville, Florida. In 1983, the family moved back to North Dakota and made their home in Devils Lake. Sharon attended Lake Region Junior College and received an Associate Degree of Applied Science and certification in business management. Sharon worked in sales and marketing at the Ben Franklin and also at Kelly’s. Her creative talents were always an asset at any job she held and the education was put to use as the Office Coordinator at Probuild for many years. Sharon’s creative talents kept her very busy as the family cake decorator for birthdays, weddings, graduations, and other occasions. Her talents as a seamstress also made her the family costume maker for members of the skating club and taking care of alterations for anyone that needed it. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting when time allowed. As a member of a large family, Sharon treasured each of her siblings and nieces and nephews in a very special way. Sharon’s love ran deep and her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Sharon was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had recently come to treasure visiting the Holy Eucharist in prayer and adoration. Sharon is survived by her daughter Darla and husband, Cory Morstad and son Amadon Faul all of Devils Lake; grandchildren Forrester-Case Faul and Adele Faul; brothers and sisters Gerald Howatt and wife Patricia, Langdon, ND, Laurel Howatt and fiancé Paul Erickson of Devils Lake/Maddock, ND, Rodney Howatt and wife Connie also of Langdon, Shawn Howatt and wife Bonnie of Starkweather, ND, Susan and husband Mark Estenson, Devils Lake and Mark Howatt and wife Theresa of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Sheila Howatt, Enumclaw, Washington and Sharon Howatt of Hannah, ND; companion Dennis Rau of Devils Lake; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bradley and Thomas Howatt, and sister Juanita Zeis.
