Preston J. BlackCloud, 31 of Minneapolis, Minnesota formerly of Fort Totten, ND died on Friday, November 9, 2007 in Minneapolis. Funeral Services for Preston will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Fort Totten on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jackie Bernacchi officiating, assisted by Deacon Bonnie McNaughton. Burial will be in St. Thomas Episcopal Cemetery. A Wake will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Procession to the church will leave the Wal-Mart Parking Lot at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. (today) Serving as Casket Bearers for Preston will be Loren BlackCloud, Julius Rainbow Jr., Nilus BlackLance, Garrett Mudgett, Barrett Mudgett, Bernard Mudgett, Arlin BlackLance and Vincent Shaw, Jr. Preston James was born on September 21, 1976 at Devils Lake, ND the son of Leonard and Dora (Shaw) BlackCloud. He lived for a time at Fort Totten and then at age 8 moved to Cannonball, ND for two years. Preston then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he was educated and lived and worked until the time of his death, making his home with his mother, Dora. Preston loved his family and was looking forward to being more involved in the lives of his two children. May Preston rest in peace. Preston is survived by his mother, Dora Shaw of Minneapolis, MN Son: Shiloh J. BlackCloud Daughter; Melissa L. BlackCloud both of Minneapolis Sisters: Jaylene BlackCloud, Minneapolis Angela BlackCloud, Bismarck, ND Brothers: Leverett BlackCloud of Tokio, ND Loren BlackCloud, Minneapolis Leslie BlackCloud also Minneapolis Paternal Grandparents: Mary Rose and George Fool Bear Great Great Grandmothers: Lillian Shaw and Hermenia McKay Great Uncles: Andy Shaw and Vincent Shaw Great Aunt: Ardis Shaw Many Nieces and Nephews and their families also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; grandmother, Vivian Thompson and aunt, Carrie Price.
