Evangeline “Vangie” J. Morrison, 76 of Devils Lake, ND died on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Trinity Hospital in Minot.
A time of remembrance and sharing with family and friends will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.
Evangeline J. Jaeger was born on September 21, 1931 in Ramsey County, rural Crary, ND the daughter of Dennis and Catherine Jaeger. She was reared and received her elementary education in Crary, then graduated form Devils Lake High School. She then attended the Dakota Business College in Fargo. Evangeline lived and worked for Boeing in Seattle for several years then returned to North Dakota, making her home in Devils Lake. As a working mother, she devoted her life to caring for her son and trying to show her life as an example of love, kindness and generosity to others. She worked as a cook at the Elks Lodge for 15 years and then in the dietary department at the Lake Region Lutheran Home for 15 years. She also worked for a time at Leever’s Super Value. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and former member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Vangie loved the outdoors and the beauty of nature. Coffee and conversation with friends and family were always considered special times of joy. To her son Edward, “she was the greatest Mom in the world and she was always there to love and support me and the family”. May she rest in peace.
Evangeline is survived by her loving son, Edward and his wife, June of Minot, ND

Many nieces, nephews and their families also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Peter Jaeger, Lena Russell, Mary Borsvold and Edward Jaeger.
