Harold Earl Adsem, the oldest son of Sam and Inez (Anderson) Adsem was born on November 15, 1926 in Grafton, ND where his parents made their home. When he was a year old, Harold moved with his parents to Prospect Township, rural Edmore, ND and attended school in Derrick, ND. Harold remained at home and helped his father farm, except for one year he spent working for Ramsey County on road construction. Harold returned to the farm and continued its’ operation after the death of his father. He then rented the land from his mother until her death in 1982 and then Harold took over operation of the entire farm. Harold retired and his brother, John began farming the land.
