Gale M. Vilandre, 48 of Penn, ND passed away at the home of her sister, Deb early Friday morning, October 19, 2007 after a courageous battle against cancer.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a private family service with services and music in the care of Jim Vilandre.
Gale Marie was born in Devils Lake, ND on October 21, 1958, the daughter of Richard and Donna (Romdalvik) Vilandre. She was reared in the Crary area and also Devils Lake. She graduated from Devils Lake High School in 1977. She lived and worked for a time in Minneapolis and Montana. After returning to Devils Lake she worked for several years as an embroidery machine operator at Dakota Sports Wear and Decorated Wearables.
Gale was a devoted mother and grandmother and loving sister, treasuring each day she was able to spend with them. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and yard work and the outdoors. She especially loved the peace and beauty of “country living”.
Gale’s love will forever warm our hearts and forever be a cherished memory.
