Casper J. Pfleiger

Casper J. Pfleiger Casper (Lefty) Pfleiger, 96, Minneapolis, MN died Wednesday November 7, 2007. Casper was born July 12, 1911 In Portland, Oregon the son of Jacob and Eva (Burkhart) Pfleiger. He moved with his parents to Devils Lake, ND as an infant. He married Margaret Lalie October 7, 1935 at St Josephs Church in Devils Lake. They were married 59 years until Margaret’s death on January 17, 1995. (Casper worked for Fairmont Foods from 1929 until his retirement in 1976. While in Devils Lake he was an active member of the Volunteer Fire Department, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. ) He was transferred to Minneapolis in 1957 where he has since made his home. He is survived by daughter Carol (Allen) Fryxell of San Diego CA, son Robert (Mary) Pfleiger of Nashville, TN, Brother Jake (Fran) Pfleiger of Minneapolis, granddaughters Karen (Brad) Blan , Ann (Steve)Marcus, Paula (Dean) Thrasher, Laura Pfleiger and great-grandchildren Connor Blan, Cody Blan and Abby Marcus. Funeral Services will be at St. Richards Catholic Church, Richfield, MN, Monday November 12 at 11:30 AM. Family visitation will be prior to service from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Graveside Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Devils Lake on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dale Kinzler officiating.
