Ingrid S. Johnson, 57, Devils Lake, ND died peacefully Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at her home with her husband by her side.
Funeral Services for Ingrid will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Rev. Jamie Desai will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m
Serving as Casket Bearers for Ingrid will be Emil & Darlene Schoenfish, Pete & Pam Jerome, Wayne & Beverly Westphal, Craig & Debbie Stromme, Tim & Rose Senger, and Steve & Mary Bracken.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ingrid’s Delphi Sisters, Darlene Eldred, Gayle Lamp, Cyd Meidinger, Myrna Milbrandt, Peggy Sola, Glenda VanDerlinden and Judy Vollmers.
Music will be provided by Lynda Pearson, Organist and the Monson Cousins, Vocalists.
Ingrid S. Olson was born in Tuttle, ND on July 25, 1949 to Gustav and Emma (Bickel) Olson. She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1967 and Valley City State University in 1971.
Ingrid married Stephen (Steve) Johnson on December 16, 1972 in Hillsboro, ND. After teaching 9 years in Hillsboro, Ingrid and Steve moved to Devils Lake where Ingrid taught elementary education for 20 years. She loved teaching and always felt fortunate to be able to go to work each day.
Ingrid spent the last ten years fighting breast cancer. She lived each day to the fullest with dignity, humility, and grace. She was the Honorary Co-Chairperson of the Devils Lake Relay for Life in 2003, and was active in a cancer support group. She enjoyed Bible studies, quilting, walking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Daughter, Kristina (Ryan) St. Clair of Neenah, WI
Son, Seth (Amy) Johnson of St. Louis Park, MN
Grandson, William St. Clair also of Neenah, WI
Sister, Carol Sloan of Bismarck, ND
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The Johnson family prefers memorials to the Salvation Army and Los Amigos del Padre Juan.
