Philomene P. Corbine, 76 of Fort Totten formerly of Dunseith, ND our loving Mother and Grandmother has passed into the Spirit world at 5:30 am Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
A Wake will be held at the Fort Totten Recreation Center on Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to the Fort Totten Recreation Center will leave at 5:00 p.m. on Friday from the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort.
Mass of Christian Burial for Philomene will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten. Fr. Charles Leute, OP will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery.
Philomene Patricia Peltier Corbine was born on January 10, 1934 at Dunseith,ND the daughter of Alex and Clara Peltier. She worked with the Fort Totten Early Childhood Education, Four Winds High School and the Four Winds Daycare.
We have lost someone so very special to all of us. Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend and relative will always be loved and always in our hearts.
Philomene is survived by her sisters Clara Wilson and Sylvia Brownshield; brother Floyd McKay; sisters-in-law Zelma Peltier, Celeste Reynolds, Sharon Wounded Foot, and Beverly Corbine. She will be missed by her children: Bruce Bergerson, Juanita Espinosa(Leonard Boyd), Jennifer Feather (Chip Drake), Dennis Corbine, David (Donna) Corbine, Paula Corbine (Wilbur Medicine Stone), Cheryl Bull (Jose Cisneros) and Robert John Adams. Grandchildren: Rena Robertson, Adonijah Espinosa, Demetrius Espinosa, Jennie Laforte, Tom Robertson III, Tannis Shaw, Marty GreyWater, Wilbur Medicine Stone, Denise Bull, Miranda Cavanaugh, Megan Cavanaugh, Nicole LaForte, Bernadette Jackson, Mattie Medicine Stone, Bailey Bergerson, David Medicine Stone, special grandson Emmanual Medicine Stone, Derrick Corbine, Christopher Cavanaugh, Jose Bull, Erica Longie, Shelby Begerson, Wakinyan Sandoval, Cheryl Cisneros, Olivia Bull, Bryce Medicine Stone and Brennan Robertson and many great grand children.
She joined our relatives in the heavens including her husband, Melvin Corbine; parents: Alex and Clara Peltier; brother Francis J. Peltier; sister Pricilla Cavanaugh; son Peter James Adams and granddaughter Wastewin Gonzalez.
