Kenneth Alan Thompson was born in Devils Lake on April 8, 1961 to Ambrose and Marylouise (Brown) Thompson. He was raised in the St. Michael area and attended school in St. Michael and Fort Totten. He worked as a laborer most of his life at various jobs on the Spirit Lake Nation. He also was employed at Sioux Manufacturing, Spirit Lake Casino and Resort and R&L Construction. Kenny worked hard to be a good son and father to his dear family.
One of Kenny’s greatest pastimes was riding horse. In his younger years he participated in many rodeos in the area. He also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time at the casino where he could visit with friends and play the machines.
