Thomas “Jasper” Short Jr., 20 of Grand Forks, ND died on Saturday, October 27, 2007 in Grand Forks.
Funeral Services for Jasper will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten. Fr. Charles Leute, O.P. will officiate and burial will be in St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery.
The Wake for Jasper will be held on Sunday at the Crow Hill Recreation Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Jasper will be Jeffrey Robertson, Galen Brown, Juan Ramôn, George Short, Larus Longie, Broadus Short, David Bartlette and Julian Corona.
Honorary Bearers for Jasper will be Dori and Dez Keplin, Jared Bartlette, Andy Dodge, Mike Peterson, Tyron Wade, D.J. Bartlette, Jake Bartlette, Bradley Hell, Cody Falcon, Lonnie Falcon, Martin Haulst, Jordon Enno, Rubin Peraliz, all co-workers at Taco Johns and Associated Potatoes, and the Altru Hospital Staff.
Music will be provided by Tony and Vina McDonald and the Littlewind Drum Group.
Thomas Jeffrey Short was born on January 23, 1987 at Devils Lake, ND the son of the late Thomas Short Sr. and Stephanie Brown. He grew up and was educated in Grand Forks. He managed a Taco Johns in Grand Forks for a time and most recently was employed at Associated Potatoes in Grand Forks.
Jasper enjoyed playing football, basketball, pool and darts. He also enjoyed bowling, playing chess, fishing with his friends, playing x-box, and listening to music.
You didn’t need to know Jasper very long, before you called him your friend. He was a loving dad, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend. We shall miss the smile that warmed our hearts, but we will keep Jasper in our hearts forever.
