Karl E. Lange, 53 of Grand Forks, formerly of Devils Lake, ND died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at his home in Grand Forks from complications of heart disease.
Funeral Services for Karl will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake with Rev. Harold Ovre officiating.
Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Music will be provided by Lynda and Russell Pearson.
Karl Erik Lange, the son of Paul and Lois (Wick) Lange was born on May 3, 1954 in Fargo, ND. At the age of 6 months, he brought much joy and happiness into the Lange home as they adopted him and he joined the rest of the family in Devils Lake where he was reared and educated. Karl graduated from Devils Lake High School in 1972. He attended college in Jamestown and also in Missoula, Montana. While still in high school, Karl began his career in radio as a disc jockey, known as “The Big K”. He worked in radio stations in Missoula, Devils Lake, Bismarck and Grand Forks. He also worked in radio sales for a time. Of course music was his passion and he especially enjoyed Rock music.

Brother: Rob Lange and his wife, Voni also of Devils Lake
Five nephews, three nieces, three grand nephews and two grand nieces and several cousins also survive.
Uncles and Aunt: Vern and Ardis Lange of Mansfield, Ohio
Willard Evans of LaGrange Park, Illinois
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bert and Hildur Wick and Axel and Julia Lange and aunt, Agnes Evans.
