Bobby Allen Graywater, “Zuya Eya Ohitika Winyan” (Brave Woman Went to War) 25, Devils Lake, ND traveled back to the Spirit World on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake.
Bobby Allen Graywater was born July 23, 1981 at the United (Altru) Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Bobby attended Spirit Lake Headstart, Tate Topa Kindergarten, Tate Topa Middle School, Warwick High School and Sheyenne Public School. She graduated from Four Winds High School in 2002. Bobby also received her Vocational Certificate of Completion on May 14, 1999 from the Burdick Job Corps Community Collete in Fort Totten, ND at the time of her death. She worked for the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort and the Spirit Lake Tribal Finance. She was an active member of the Native American Church; she also enjoyed attending pow-wows, Sundance and sweats. Bobby was also a very avid basketball fan. Bobby was a backup singer for several Native American drum groups since she was 6 years old. She also sang the Flag Song in Sioux at the All Indian Rodeo in Bismarck, ND in 1993.
Bobby was born and suffered from pancreatitus and type 2 diabetes since birth which eventually took her from us. Bobby always had a smile and a joke for everyone to bring happiness and laughter, although she was suffering internally. Bobby was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her death; she will be missed by all her family and friends she made during her short time with us.

Belgarde Sr; paternal grandparents, Elizabeth Robertson and Ales Graywater Sr.; uncles, Richard Graywater, Alex Graywater and Leander Belgarde; aunts, Shirley Belgarde, Anna Mae Belgarde, Theresa Belgarde and Marie Belgarde; brothers, Tory Woods and Paul Thompson.

Funeral procession will begin on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Parking Lot and continue on Highway 20 to Herminia Belgarde residence where she will be carried by horse drawn wagon by Grandfather, Francis Owlboy Sr. to the St. Michael Recreation Center. Wake Services will be at the St. Michael Recreation Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary and Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2006. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael’s Recreation Center will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 with burial in the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
