Aliza Urijah Stone
Anpetu Wicahpi Winyan
“ Day Star Woman”
Blessed us all by her sweet, loving and kind presence with her
1st sunrise on October 9, 2009
Aliza was born at 12:01pm in Devils Lake, North Dakota to her loving parents Louise Fox and Jonathon Stone. Aliza was such a happy little girl, and always being silly and loved to sing and dance when she was a toddler and growing up. Aliza spent most of her time with her Grandma Janet who began raising her at 9 months. They spent everyday BONDING together watching their shows and shopping and doing facials and their nails together. Aliza was a Proud big sister to 7 siblings through the following years. Aliza attended Four Winds Elementary transferring to Oberon school in the middle school years. Aliza enjoyed Powwow dancing when she was younger, she danced Fancy Shawl and switching to Jingle Dress and then toTraditional. She was helping bead her own outfit these past few months with her grandma Janet. In the 8th grade Aliza transferred to Crow Creek Tribal School in Stephan South Dakota where she made life long memories and many many friends and staff who loved her so very much. Aliza graduated with honors and also was named “Lakota student of the year!” earning herself a beautiful eagle plume. We are all so very Proud of Aliza and all her accomplishments. Aliza stayed and enjoyed the summer there with friends in 2024 and then coming back home to work in the Summer Youth Program. Aliza started her high school freshman year at Crow Creek this school year. Aliza dreamed of becoming a Youtuber and content creator wanting to move to L.A. She missed being home however and wanted to move back to be with her grandma Janet and her mom and her new baby brother Chavis Reed. Aliza had the most caring heart and she loved gaming with all her gaming friends and her cousins. Aliza LOVED to cook with her mom and visit and watch movies with her. Aliza was a very big fan of Liggett Footwear and had an awesome shoe collection. Aliza was looking forward to traveling to powwows this summer. Aliza had a big caring heart and worried about the tragic events that began happening in the world and battling depression at the same time, her sadness over came her and she began her Final Sunrise here with us Sunday March 9, 2025.
Aliza will be missed dearly by her loving family
