Audrey Louise Pulst, April 17, 1939 ~ August 22, 2019

Our beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 peacefully at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services for Audrey will be on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity-Bergen Lutheran Church, Starkweather, ND. Visitation will also be on Monday at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be in Trinity-Bergen Cemetery, rural Starkweather.

Audrey Louise was the only child of Harold and Lillian Vance born on April 17, 1939 in Mayville, ND and raised in California for a short time, then to St. Joe, northwest of Starkweather.

Audrey loved to curl in her younger years and worked by her husband’s side on the farm, running the combine. Audrey married her true love Alden “Ally” Pulst on January 20, 1955.  They made their home on the Pulst homestead until Ally and Audrey retired from farming and moved into Starkweather.

Audrey loved to tell dirty jokes to make friends laugh, enjoyed cards, mowing the yard, working in the garden, was a fabulous cook and loved to entertain her friends and had so many good times at their Wood Lake cabin.

Audrey’s loving family include her four children Kim (Teri) Pulst of Waverly, MN, Joni Pulst of Lakota, ND, Susan (Ted) Israel of Hailey, ID and Peggy Shipley of Cando, ND; seven grandchildren Jason Stienkeoway, Jill (Brady) Carlsrud, Adam Pulst, Faye Creager, Tyler Israel, Zach Israel and Jr. Shipley (Taylor Aronson); six great grandchildren Karissa, Abigail, Madison, Lucas, Lily and Jrue and one great great grandchild Chaz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ally, niece Carla Carlson and nephew Gordon Pulst.

Casket Bearers will be Ron Haltli, Russ Haltli, Mark Rye, Adam Pulst, Kent Pulst and Orrin Johnson.
