Bernadette Inez Robertson Feather Jackson, 43 of Spirit Lake Nation, a strong, caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at her home.
Berna was born to Thomas Robertson Jr. and Jennifer Feather Drake on January 11, 1979. Berna began her life in Spirit Lake, then traveled from Aberdeen, South Dakota to Arizona and eventually back home. She attended school at Four Winds and Devils Lake.
She was shy, loved laughter, teasing, big hearted and always willing to help others in need. Throughout her life she grew up around all her cousins; Crystal Robertson and her aunt Beverly Rainbow who were so very close to her and she dearly cared about all her cousins. They all spent time and help their Kunshi Elaine at the club with the store Takosha’s. The girls were always laughing, fixing hair, or trying out the latest styles.
Berna was blessed with her first-born daughter Taylor Moon Drake. Taylor was blessed with two beautiful children, Arielle, and Preston. Grandma loved them so much.
In 1997, Berna met Pernell Jackson and married her lifelong partner in 2001 who she loved so very much. They made their home in St. Michael. They were blessed with five beautiful and handsome children, Pernell Jackson Jr., Halle Jackson, Maria Jackson, Sadie Jackson, and Terrell Jackson. She raised them with a loving heart, protected them, loved them all so much and supported them in any way possible. She was very happy when Pernell and Maria had children of their own; Skye, Pernell III, Sage and River. Mom was so happy for them. From the first day of birth, Grandma loved them so much.
Berna’s family meant the world to her. She will be so very missed by all whose lives she touched. She will be forever in their hearts.
Other family who are surviving include her Dad, Thomas Robertson; brother Tom Robertson; sisters Rena Robertson, Amanda Robertson, Megan Robertson, and Lonna Robertson; grandmother Helena Littleghost; in-laws Philmore Jackson, Phaedra Jackson and Adrianna Jackson; father-in-law Joseph Goulet and many dear nieces, nephews, beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Berna joins in the Spirit World her mother Jennifer Drake, daughter Lillian, grandmothers Elaine Robertson, Elizabeth Littleghost and Pauline Graywater, mother-in-law Paul Goulet and other family members.
