Bonnie was born May 3, 1933 in Arnegard ND. She was the middle child of Loren and Anna (Stenehjem) Pellett, with three sisters and a brother.  The family moved to Anamoose ND and this is where Bonnie was raised and went to grade school and high school.  Bonnie was very competitive and played in many sports for the Royals basketball, track and softball teams.

Bonnie married Daniel Heisler on December 23, 1953 in Harvey ND. Dan took a job at Camp Grafton so Bonnie and her first two boys Daniel and Gary moved to Devils Lake ND.  In Devils Lake, Bonnie and Dan lost their third child Faye Marie at birth.  Then they had two more sons Rodney and Jeff.  With four sons to raise, Bonnie was kept busy chasing them around the house and then the neighborhood and then they moved on to grade school and high school sports.

Bonnie was very active in all the boys sporting activities. You could hear her at all the basketball, baseball and football games.  She was also very active in baseball boosters, where Bonnie and Dan could be seen taking tickets or working the concession stand at all the Babe Ruth and Legion baseball games for all four of the boys. The competitive spirit would show up at games whenever there was a discrepancy of a rule, the rule book could always be found within reach in the concession stand.

Bonnie loved doing sports of her own too. Playing basketball, softball, bowling and BINGO.  Some might say BINGO is not a sport, but they never played it with Bonnie.  Bonnie was self-employed early, running a day care in her house and then to One Hour Martinizing.  Her sewing machine ran constantly sewing name tags and rank onto National Guard uniforms.

Beloved Bonnie, devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, sister and aunt will be greatly missed by the family that survives including her sons and their spouses Daniel and Ann of Manhattan MT, Gary and Patti of Fargo, Rodney and Connie of Devils Lake and Jeff and Karen also of Fargo; nine grandchildren Corrie (Nate) Kegel, Huson MT, Matt (Lindsay) Heisler, Frenchtown MT, Marissa Carter, San Francisco CA, Bryce Heisler, Fargo, Shane (Kristie) Heisler, West Fargo, Chris (Lindsay O’Reilly) Heisler, Arvada CO, Kyla (John) Maritato, Devils Lake, Brandon Heisler and Alex Heisler both of Fargo; twelve great grandchildren Eastin, Maddox and Trace Heisler, Savannah and Sean O’Reilly, Tatum Heisler, Phillip, Isabelle and Everleigh Maritato, Chase and Katie Kegel and Harlie Heisler, and one soon to be born; sisters Leona Brower, and Cherraine Weltz both of Harvey ND, Ione Lang, Minot ND; sister-in-law Janice Pellett also of Harvey and many nieces, nephews and their families.
