Brandon Thanh Phan

Brandon Thanh Phan, 18, a Senior at Lakota High School, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his home, rural Devils Lake, ND. Brandon Thanh, son of Ronna Kaye Neidlinger and Son Thanh Phan was born on May 5, 1999 at Springfield, Massachusetts. He lived with his family at Chicopee, Massachusetts and attended the Chicopee Public School.  Throughout the years, basketball was his passion.  In 2014, Brandon moved to North Dakota and attended Starkweather Public School for one year, then transferred to the Lakota Public School where he was a Senior at the time of his death. He again had enjoyed being a part of the basketball team and was looking forward to the upcoming season.  Brandon was always a good student and loved all kinds of sports. We can’t begin to imagine life without Brandon. Our hearts ache, but our hearts are full of the beautiful times we shared together.  Brandon is survived by his mother Ronna of Springfield, MA; father Son Phan of MA; sisters Samantha Neidlinger and her children Nathan, Isaiah, Jaydon, George and Zylena, Jennifer Neidlinger, Angeline Neidlinger and Rebecca Neidlinger; brothers Steven Phan and Brian Phan; adopted grandparents Jack and Judy Neidlinger; uncle and aunt Si and Lien Phan and many other dear aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services for Brandon will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey County Event Center, Highway 19 West with Pastor Jeff Kapelle officiating. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and a procession to the Ramsey County Event Center will leave on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home.
