Carlotta D. Giese

Graveside Services for Carlotta Giese, 60 of Devils Lake who passed away on December 13, 2016 will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with burial to follow. Carlotta Diane Giese was born on February 2, 1956 in Bismarck, ND. Carlotta began services with REM-ND in July of 2005. She was previously receiving services from 4th Corporation.  She started Day Supports Services with Lake Region Corporation in March of 1992.  Carlotta enjoyed collection pens, putting together puzzles, coloring and writing in her notepad. During her Day Supports time, Carlotta enjoyed working on puzzles, playing Rack-O and visiting with friends. Carlotta was a jokester, always quick to tease others in a playful manner. She took extra care to keep the staff at LRC on their toes, playing trick on them and offering a playful interaction.  She would often tease that she was going to get them into trouble, and then follow it up with a smile and a kiss on the head.  Carlotta had a great faith, loved her friends, her home and her family with all her heart. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, attended services whenever possible, helped with church activities and potlucks and being a part of the Sunday Bible Study.  She loved visiting with friends and family, planning holiday parties, getting dressed up to go out to eat and shopping. Carlotta took great pride in her home and belongings.  Carlotta had a strong spirit and was a determined person. Her strength and faith helped her through all those difficulties of life.   Her heart overflowed with love for her family, her friends and her support staff.  Carlotta is survived by her precious and loving family, her many dear friends and the caring staff of REM.
