Cheryl V. Degenstein-Peterson

Cheryl V. Degenstein Peterson, 69, of Devils Lake, ND, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Cheryl was born on June 5th, 1953 in Harvey, ND to the late Patricia and Virgil Degenstein. She was raised in Lakewood, and attended school until her graduation from Devils Lake Central High in 1971. She worked for the ND Dept of Transportation for many years and most recently at Walmart .

She loved camping, canoeing, boating and horseback and trail riding with the Fort Totten Trail Riders. Most of all, she loved her friends, family and Elvis.

She is survived by her loving partner of 30 years, Al Rodlin, beloved son, Jason Degenstein (Heather), grandson, Jaxson Degenstein, and brother, Corey Degenstein (Eula).

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, sister Claudette, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. Friends and family will always remember her strength, her sense of humor, her love of animals and the great outdoors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service is being planned and details will be announced soon.
