Christopher Felix, precious son of Tina Marie Whiteshield was born on July 5, 1974 at Devils Lake ND. He grew up on the Spirit Lake Nation, attending school at Four Winds where he played all kinds of sports but his favorite was basketball. He earned his GED through Cankdeska Cikana Community College and then enrolled at CCCC graduating with an Associates Degree. While enrolled, Chris worked as a teacher’s aide at the CCCC Head Start. He decided to further his education and attended UND in Grand Forks. He enjoyed the city atmosphere, made many new friends and reconnected with old friends and decided to call Grand Forks his home.
While living in Grand Forks, Chris worked various jobs as he was a jack-of-all trades so had a talent for many things. He loved to travel, visiting family and friends, always looking for an adventure. He was a easy going, humble, happy-go-lucky fellow, had a great sense of humor, had many crazy sayings he would use to tease his family with. He treasured spending time with his nephew Chance Guy and his special best friend brother Shawn Guy and his family. He loved being a part of such an extended, loving, caring family. A family who loved him always and a family he would help anyway he could. He was a very spiritual person who knew and loved his Creator and he treasured the traditional ways. He felt so very truly blessed to have two Moms; one on earth and one in Heaven.
Chris’s loving family include his heavenly Mom, Tina Marie Whiteshield; parents Elaine and Duane Guy; brothers Shawn (Leah and Dwayne) Guy, John Guy, and Suna Guy; sisters Neva Whiteshield, Lisa Guy, Michlyn Guy, and Miranda Guy; specials nephew and nieces Lee (Samantha) Lenoir Jr., Kareena Whiteshield, Sherea (Lathan) Lenoir, Kiara Guy and family, Jordain (Chazz Reeves) Bellanger, Denzel Guy, Kadji Tracre, Jerrica Guy, Barbara Guy, Kimora Moore, Denza Moore, Thaine ThunderHawk, Gabe Guy and family and very special nephew Chance Guy and many dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
