CORBY J. JACOBSON

Corby J. Jacobson, 63 was called home to Heaven on December 3^rd, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Corby John Jacobson, son of Robert & Glady (Beckstrand) Jacobson was born on January 5, 1958. He was reared on the family farm at rural Warwick and attended Warwick Public School, graduating with the class of 1976. He was a lifelong member of the Warwick Lutheran Church. Corby continued his education at North Dakota State University, graduating with a Degree in Animal Science. While attending NDSU he met and married Janet Jones the mother of his children.

Corby dedicated his life to being a steward of the land and a shepherd to his cows, proudly alongside his father for nearly 40 years.

Corby coached Warwick High School Varsity boys basketball for several years, from there his love of sports continued, as he played amateur basketball in the local league for many years.  Corby enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events as well as other local games and tournaments. In recent years he wouldn’t miss tuning into March Madness, Bison football, and any other sporting event that was on the air. 

Corby was an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time taking his children on numerous fishing and camping trips across the upper Midwest. He instilled a love of nature into his children and grandchildren. Through his desire to continue learning, he took every opportunity to make each moment an educational experience for those around him. Living by his personal motto “adjust and adapt” along with his patience and knowledge everything improved when Corby was around.

Corby will be forever missed by his mother Glady Jacobson; his children: Tiffany (Chris) Rood, Levi (Julie) Jacobson, Amber (Kevin) Gustafson; grandchildren Madison and Carson Rood, Lillian and Jada Jacobson; sister Janel (Kent) McKinnon, brother Quentin (Trish) Jacobson; many nieces and nephews and many other loved ones.

Funeral Services for Corby will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Warwick Lutheran Church with Reverend Stanley D. Kwiecien officiating.  Burial will be in the Warwick Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9^th at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
