Delinda K. (Jetty) Yankton, 50 of Crow Hill, rural Fort Totten, ND passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at rural Oberon, ND as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
The Wake for Delinda will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Crow Hill Recreation Center, rural Fort Totten. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Father Charles Leute OP officiating. The procession to Crow Hill will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday from the City Plaza.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crow Hill Recreation Center, rural Fort Totten.
Delinda Kay, daughter of Lorna WalkingEagle and Richard Jetty was born on April 22, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. At the age of 14 she moved with the family to the Spirit Lake Nation and attended Four Winds School in Fort Totten.
Delinda was united in marriage to Dana Yankton on November 24, 1999, and they established their home in Fort Totten. For the past 13 years they have lived in the Crow Hill District. Delinda was a devoted wife and mother to her children. Delinda felt so very blessed to have 34 years with the love of her life, her Dana.
She was very talented at interior design, always decorating and rearranging furniture in her home. She also had a flair for fashion.
Delinda’s life here was short, but she left a lasting legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and caring heart for all of her dear family and beloved friends.
Delinda’s loving family include her husband Dana; children Devin Yankton (Chris McCloud), Brandt Jetty, Danica Yankton, Shelton Yankton, Dana Yankton Jr., Talson Yankton and Ausha Yankton all of Fort Totten; beloved mother Lorna WalkingEagle of Crow Hill, ND; grandchildren Dante Yankton, Alicia Yankton, Raymond Richotte, Jenaya Cloud and Ryder RedFox; sisters and brother Renee Jetty, Antonio Eagleman and Natawny Eagleman (Luis Murillo); father-in-law Roger Yankton Sr. and mother-in-law Ramona Chaske; several dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Delinda was preceded in death by her father Richard Jetty and grandson Shelton Yankton Jr
