Dennis E. Alfstad

Dennis E. Alfstad, 81 of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, ND.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Devils Lake Cemetery. Military Honors were accorded by the Neathery-Simensen Post #756, Devils Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Dennis Eugene, son of Ernest M. and Isabella (Prinzing) Alfstad was born on May 27, 1940 in Devils Lake ND.  He grew up and was educated in the Oberon area.  He entered the United States Army on January 23, 1962 and proudly and honorably served his country with the 12^th Calvalry and 5^th Infantry Division. He was discharged with the rank of PFC on December 18, 1963 and was part of the Army Reserves until January of 1968. 

Dennis was united in marriage to Dorothy Anne Zacher on March 1, 1965 at Esmond ND. They established their home in Devils Lake where they lived through the years. Dennis worked in a variety of occupations and was also owner and operator of several businesses.  Dorothy died on September 4, 1999. 

Dennis is survived by his sons Darin and Douglas Alfstad and other beloved relatives.
