Dessarae Dawn Langton

Dessarae D. Langton, 54 of Crary ND passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at her home.

Funeral Services for Dessarae will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Reverend JoHanna Buchholz officiating.

Dessarae Dawn, daughter of Gerald and Ruth (Adrian) Schill was born on March 5, 1968 at Langdon, North Dakota.  She lived with her parents and siblings in Munich, Langdon and Grand Forks, North Dakota. Dessarae graduated from Red River High School with the class of 1987.  She continued her education at Aaker’s Business College in Grand Forks, graduating with an Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration. 

Dessarae married Glenn Christianson on May 14, 1988 and they were the proud parents of Rosellen and Nigel.  They made their home in Grand Forks and she worked for a time at the Ski and Bike Shop.

Dessarae loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. They were her top priority.  

Dessarae was united in marriage to Scott Langton on December 18, 2008 and they made their home at the farm in rural Crary.  She worked along side her husband in the Langton Harvesting business.

Dessarae enjoyed quilting and baking and was an avid gardener. At one time she tended two large gardens and spent hours tending the plants from planting to harvest to processing the produce. 

Dessarae treasured time with family and friends. She enjoyed sharing her creations of quilts, delicious baked treats and garden produce with them. 

Her loving family include her husband Scott; children Rose (Brandon) Heppner, Grand Forks and Nigel (Katie) Christianson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren Haylee Borgen, Kahne Heppner and Kensley Heppner; mother Ruth Schill, Bismarck ND; siblings Bonnie (Vance) Prellwitz, Towner ND, Ardean (Katie) Schill, Marion, IA, Geraldine (Soren) Hauge, Mandan ND, Chad (Jen) Schill, Argusville, ND and Evan Schill also of Mandan; mother-in-law Nelda Langton and brother-in-law Merle Langton; beloved canine companion Gus; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Gerald and brother Jason Schill.
