Edward “Kyle” Mead 43 of Warwick ND passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Funeral Services for Kyle will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Warwick Public School with Reverend Jeff Kapelle officiating. Visitation on Saturday will be at the school one hour prior to the funeral service.
Edward Kyle Mead was born on January 3, 1978, in Fairbanks, Alaska, the son of Joseph Mead and Donna Meyers. He was raised and educated in Alaska until the age of 16 when he went to live with his Dad in Sequim, Washington. He continued his education and lived and worked in Washington for several years until moving back to Alaska. His Dad had moved to North Dakota and was facing several health issues so Kyle moved to North Dakota in 1997 to care for Joe.
Kyle made his way between North Dakota, Washington and Alaska many times in his life journey to care for his parents and others. While in Washington, he met and married his beloved Carol Dawley on September 13, 1999, in Mount Vernon, Washington. They began their married life in Washington, but would eventually move to Alaska. While in Alaska, Kyle worked as a firefighter.
Kyle’s help was again needed in North Dakota, so they moved to the Tolna area. Kyle worked for Lundeby’s Tree Farm, and worked independently as a mechanic and hauling scrap metal. His dad died in 2008 so the family moved back to Alaska, caring for his mother until her death in 2010. They felt a calling back to North Dakota, settled their family in Warwick and called Warwick home until his passing. Kyle was elected mayor of Warwick in 2016.
Kyle was all about helping people; caring for his parents, his wife and children, serving his community as Mayor, the local mechanic and scrap metal dealer and attending auctions as a chance to visit with old friends and make new ones. Kyle passed those talents on to his children and was blessed to know they would always care for him, their mother and each other.
Our hearts are broken, we will miss Kyle with all our hearts and will love and remember him forever.
Kyle’s loving family include his wife Carol; precious children Edward Morgan Mead and Megan Ann Mead all of Warwick; step daughter Juanita Bueing of Minnesota, and mother-in-law Kathleen Peterson of Warwick and many dear nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
