Elizabeth “Kay” Redfox, 62 of Tokio, ND passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday morning, February 4, 2018.
Funeral Services for Kay will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. the Bdecan Presbyterian Church, rural Tokio, ND with Reverend Larry Thiele officiating. Kay will be laid to rest in the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9th at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The procession to the church will leave the City Plaza on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Elizabeth Kay was born on February 19, 1955 at Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Gertrude (Crow) and Archie Redfox Sr. She was raised at WoodLake, ND and graduated from Fort Yates High School. She attended a Mechanic’s school in Minot then resumed her education and training in Early Childhood Education.
Kay enjoyed cooking meals for the church and for family gatherings. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and children. Kay’s favorite pastime was playing BINGO.
Our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt leaves lasting memories of love and caring in our hearts.
Kay is survived by her loving family. Her children Alton Redfox, Aaron Mitzel, Ashley Redfox, Adrian Jackson, Megan Jackson, Jarvis “Cookie” Jackson, Alyssa “Etta” Jackson and RaNell Cavanaugh; adopted daughter June Littlewind; special granddaughter Brooke Redfox; grandsons Ethan, Bralyn, Jonathan, Seth and Adam; granddaughters Charice, Ava, Shealey, Shaliyah, Zeaonna, Danika, Lorrainah, Daizey, Isabel, Alideye, Grace, Iliza and Avy; great grandchildren Rocco, Ryland and KloLita; sisters Sharon (Albin) Georgeson, Hilda (Louis) Garcia and Alberta Redfox; sister-in-law Geraldine Redfox; adopted brother Rodney Martin; cousin Cecil Longie and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Archie Adam Redfox; brothers Francis, Leroy, Archie Jr. and Robert Redfox; sisters Etta, Karen, June, Annie, Joanne and Miriam Redfox; niece Klo Redfox; cousin Floyd Westerman.
Active Casket Bearers are Matt Georgeson, Steven Redfox, Chandler Redfox, Tyler Redfox, Ethan Jerome, Christian “Mikes” Ironroad and Jake Redfox.
Honorary Bearers are Dennis Smith, Terry Smith, Violet and Calvin Smith and family, Connie and Julius “JR” Rainbow and family, Edward Langstaff, Eleanor Langstaff and family, Connie Charboneau and family, Nicole Anderson and family, Stephanie Tikanye and family, Cecil Longie and family, Gary and Gail Frederick, Mona Leftbear and family, Larry Thiele and family, Raeann Jerome and family, Yvonne Thompson, the American Horse family from Fort Yates, Clarice Lawrence, Rev.
