Elmer Patrick White lll, 39 was born on December 11, 1982 (He shared his birthday with Grandma Evan and was extremely proud of this) He was born to the late Alvina Thompson and Elmer White Jr. in Devils Lake North Dakota. He began his journey to the Spirit World on November 9,2022 in Devils Lake N.D. surrounded by his loving family.
Elmer attended Tate Topa Elementary School, Wahpeton School and continued his education at Four Winds High School. At a young age he enjoyed dancing and singing on the powwow trail! He traveled to many powwows throughout Indian country alongside our Grandpa Elmer White Sr. and our Father Elmer White Jr. Through this he learned many teachings about our traditional ways of life. They taught him all things he needed to know about being a H’ okha Wicasa. Everyone knew Elmer by his sense of humor, he always had a laugh or joke for everyone. Elmer had a special talent for beadwork. He carried many teachings and techniques when it came to traditional art, this is a teaching he carried from our father. He was a respected singer who knew many songs and made many songs, when called upon Elmer would always show up and be ready with the drum. It was a way of life for him. His voice and presents will be missed by many people that knew this of him. Elmer was an Amazing Father who loved his children dearly, He had a special place in his heart for his many nephews and nieces especially Princess Evangline White whom he raised as his own. He was excited to become a grandpa to his first grandson in January 2023. Elmer loved all his brothers and sisters and was always there for each and every single one of them, this was a teaching that our mother taught him. Our hearts ache with such sadness. Our precious Brother, Nephew, Uncle, Father, Grandpa has begun his journey to the Spirit World, we will forever love and miss him, and he will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.
