Emily Anne Redroad

Emily Anne Redroad, 25 of Minneapolis, MN passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at her home in South Minneapolis. Emily Anne, beloved daughter of Robin (Redroad) and Miles Thompson Sr. was born on September 28, 1992 at Devils Lake, ND. She lived with her family in the Tokio area and attended Tate Topa School in Fort Totten.  The family then moved to Moorhead, MN and Emily attended the Relc Middle School there.  The family then moved to Minneapolis and Emily would make Minnesota her home until her death. She attended the AOIC High School and lived and worked in the Minneapolis area. Through the ups and downs of her short life, Emily’s love for her family helped to sustain her. She especially loved spending time with her niece Aiijah, whom she loving called her “sister”.  Emily loved going out, meeting new people, just loving life. Her passions were music and fashion.  She was always up on the latest styles and hoped to design her own fashions someday.  We miss our dear Emily, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend, and we will hold her memory in our hearts forever. Emily’s loving family include her parents Robin and Miles Thompson Sr.; siblings Natasha St. John, twin boys Morgan and Mason Thompson, Miles Thompson Jr. and Aiijah St. John; grandma Bonnie Leftbear and special grandma Janice Feather; eleven aunts and five uncles; many nieces and nephews and other dear extended family members whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Linda Lou and Robert Redroad Sr., Allene Shaw and Moses Thompson. Casket Bearers for Emily will be: Honorary Bearers will be: A Wake for Emily will be held at the Wood Lake Wellness Center, Tokio, ND on Friday, July 6, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The procession to Tokio will leave on Friday at 4:00 p.m. from City Plaza.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellness Center with Reverend Larry Thiele officiating.  Emily will be laid to rests in the Dakotah Oyate Cemetery, rural Tokio, ND. Pallbearers for Emily will be Miles Thompson Jr., Geoff Leftbear, Steven Redfox Jr., Elijah Feather, Richard Cavanaugh, Fredrick Redfox and Brice Redroad. Honorary Bearers are Natasha St. John (Michael Dunn), Morgan Thompson (Sarah), Mason Thompson (Larencia BigBear) Miles Thompson Jr. (Shaylen Peake), special niece Aiijah St. John, her aunts Kelly Redroad, Chris Redroad (Shane Guy), Susan, Cathy (Tyran Tate), Roberta, Samantha (Richard Cavanaugh), LeAnn (Corey Desjarlais), Alicia, Felicia (Andy Fisher) and Jennifer (Delson Little) Leftbear, her uncles Robert Redroad Jr., Casey Redroad (Sarah Brown), Blaine, Robert, John, Ryan and Lanny (Leslie Ann Fassett) Leftbear. All family and friends of Emily, all classmates of Emily of her school years. If we did not name someone it was not intentional. Emily touched the lives of many and she loved you all.
