Gene S. (Kessler) Rauscher, Jr., 42 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Gene Stanley, adopted at one day old as son of Gene S. and Veoria (Kessler) Rauscher Sr., was born on July 27, 1975 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He grew up and was educated in Idaho and Portland, Oregon. He worked for a time in Portland and then moved with the family to Sacramento, California. He lived and worked in Sacramento through the years. In 2012, he moved with his parents to Grand Forks, ND to be closer to family. Gene began employment with Ground Round and was employed there at the time of his death. This was a job he truly loved and was a hard- working, dedicated employee. Gene loved to spend time with family and close friends, but when the Raiders were on the field, Gene was watching them. He was one of their greatest fans. We will so dearly miss you Gene. We hold the memories of our beloved son, Dad, brother, uncle and friend in our hearts forever. Gene is survived by his loving family. His daughters Alicia Dawn and Terra and several grandchildren; parents Gene and Veoria of Devils Lake; sisters Tammy (Joe) Heiser, Devils Lake, Patty (Steve) May, Bismarck, ND and Crystal McGee, Idaho; brother Robert Kessler, Idaho; special friend Kris Moen, Grand Forks, many nieces, nephews and their families and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Gene is in the care of the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake and services will be held at a later date.
