George DeMarce Sr. 68 of Wolf Point, Montana formerly of the Spirit Lake Nation died on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Wolf Point. Mass of Christian Burial for George will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. George was born on January 7, 1949 at Fargo, ND to Rita DeMarce. He was reared and educated in the Tokio/Wood Lake area. He lived and worked on the Spirit Lake Nation for several years then moved to Montana and called it home until his death. George is survived by his children George (Jacquie) DeMarce Jr., Thomas (Bethany) DeMarce Sr. and Joseph DeMarce; mother of his children Colleen DeMarce; grandsons Jacob Peltier, George DeMarce III, Thomas DeMarce Jr. and Demitri DeMarce, Alexander DeMarce; granddaughters Drew (Steve) Rothermel, Alexis DeMarce and Kirsten DeMarce; great granddaughter Freya Rothermel; sisters Barbara Meade, Marilyn Hanson, Jennifer Piro and Arlene Neer; special friend and companion Jennifer Porras. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Yvonne Guy. Casket Bearers for George will be George DeMarce Jr., Thomas DeMarce Sr., George DeMarce III, Thomas DeMarce Jr. and Demitri DeMarce.
