James E Compton II

James Earl Compton ||, 51 of Lakota,ND passed away on Friday,  September 8th, 2017 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks,ND in the loving care of his family.  Funeral services for James will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service. James Earl, son of James Earl and Irene Bettymay Compton was born on July 27th, 1966 in Gilroy California. He grew up and attended School in the Sacramento/ Ventura California area. while in California James received trophies while competing in dirt bike racing. In 1993, James came to North Dakota aņd established a home here for his son aņd himself. He was very talented in auto mechanics and small engine repairs and was the owner/operator of "Little Man's Repair" in Lakota.  James had a passion for cars. He loved to watch NASCAR, repair cars, just anything associated with cars. He was still a fan of dirt bikes and motorcycles, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and watching motorcycle races. He was all about "family" and never missed an opportunity to go camping, traveling and celebrating all the special events with the family. As the last of his brothers, he thought he should be "the boss" of his sisters, which always didn't work out so well, but his intentions were good, he loved his family. He was always a devoted father, loving brother and uncle. James is survived by his son AndTon J Compton Lakota, sisters Betty Compton DL, Brenda McGee Lakota, nieces and nephews Kandice,Chris Wentz DL, Margie,Troy Estvold Lakota, Michelle,Lane Galow DL, many great nieces and nephews.  He was proceeded in death by his parents,siblings,several aunts and uncles.
