Jeffrey Lee Robertson Sr., “ Wambdi Wiyaka Omani” (Walks With An Eagle Feather) of Fort Totten, ND passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN with his loving family at his side.
Jeffrey Lee, born on September 23, 1980 to Stephanie Ramon and James Robertson in Devils Lake, ND where he lived with his family.
Jeff worked at K. Kuhl Carpentry in Grand Forks, ND, Pizza Ranch, Devils Lake, Spirit Lake Casino and Resort, St. Michael, ND and Twin City Motors in Grand Forks, ND.
He was a skilled mechanic and really loved working on any vehicle they would bring him and also detailing vehicles for Twin City Motors for 15 years. He was very skilled at carpentry work too.
Jeff enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers, playing video games, playing pool, darts, building model cars, sketching and drawing. He loved doing the cook-outs at family gatherings.
Jeff was an ambitious hard worker and very responsible about everything. He cherished the time he spent with his daughter Destiny and his baby son, Jeffrey Jr. (Mato). He was so proud of them and was so thankful that he was well enough to see his Destiny graduate from high school.
Jeff’s life on earth was short, but the memories are many, and in our heart forever.
Jeff is survived by his loving family. His mother Stephanie Ramon; father James Robertson; daughter Destiny Robertson and son Jeffrey L. Robertson Jr. (Mato) all of Fort Totten; adopted son Jonathan Pero; adopted parents Cliff and Marilyn Coss of Grand Forks, ND whom loved and will miss him; sisters Thomasina Short, Jennifer Brown and Rena Ramon all of Devils Lake; Kayla Robertson and Breanne Robertson both of Fort Totten; brothers Galen Brown, Juan Ramon, James Robertson Jr. “Baby James”; Jeremiah J. Robertson and Bryson Robertson all of Fort Totten; grandparents Francis “Frenchy” Brown, Elaine Robertson and Clara Brown; special friend Estella Ramon of Grand Forks and many dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Steve Brown Sr., brothers Thomas Short Jr. and Roberto Ramon along with many aunts, uncles and other dear relatives and friends.
The Wake for Jeffrey will be held at the Fort Totten Wellness Center on Monday, September 17, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Monday from the City Plaza.
Funeral Services for Jeffrey will also be at the Fort Totten Wellness Center on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 a.m. with Father Charles Leute OP officiating. Jeffrey will be laid to rest in St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Fort Totten.
Active Casket Bearers will be Clifton GreyBear, James E. Brown Sr., Daylon White Sr., Gawlen G. Brown Sr., Anthony Brown and Tim Longie. Honorary Bearers and Special Thank You to the Doctors and Nurses at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, Sanford Hospital in Fargo, Mayo Clinic and St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN and the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis with special thanks to the 4E Cardiovascular ICU at U of M for taking care of Jeff. Dr. Cindy Martin, Dr. Jeremy Berman, nurses Christine D., Mike L., Steve S. and Mike J., Aunt Lisa Chaske and family, Debbie Laducer and family, Colleen Chaske and family, Patrick Griffin Jr., Derrick Mini, Garrett Mudgett, Myra Pearson and family, Darion “Barney” Charboneau, David Keo, Devin Laducer, Cecil Longie and family, Mike Peterson, Brian “Duck” Quaily, Nick Gonzales, Nick Obergon, Jennie Glimsdale and Richard “Spivy” Pero Sr. and special thanks to Chris White and Michelle Hale. If we have missed anyone we apologize and no disrespect was intended.
