Jerome Kurt McKay

Jerome Kurt McKay, precious son of Delano McKay and Raeann Jerome passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at CHI, St. Alexius, Devils Lake Hospital. He was 2 years old.  The Wake for Jerome will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Tokio Wellness Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a time of Prayer and Remembrance at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Tokio will leave on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. from the City Plaza. Funeral Services will be on Friday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the Tokio Wellness Center with Reverend Larry Thiele, Pastor, Dakotah Oyate Lutheran Church officiating.  Jerome will be laid to rest in the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Tokio.  Jerome Kurt McKay, 2 years old, was born on March 30, 2015 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks to parents Raeann Jerome and Delano McKay. Jerome, our baby boy, was very strong and outgoing. He liked looking at books, watching cartoons (his favorites were “Nemo” and “Bolt” and loved playing with his brothers and sister.  Jerome loved being with and around his family, especially his Papa Solomon.  Jerome was always making us laugh with his characters, jumping around, dancing Indian and so many other ways, like his Papa Sol taught him.  Our Baby Boy, you were such a happy baby, always smiling.
