Joseph W. Bosch, 98 of Devils Lake ND passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando ND.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with the Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. The Mass will be live streamed at Facebook.com/stjosephdvl. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Joseph William Bosch was born on October 5, 1923, at Devils Lake ND the son of Michael and Kathrine (Senger) Bosch. He was reared and educated in Cato Township, Ramsey County, ND.
Joseph was united in marriage to Marie Senger on October 18, 1948, in Crary, ND. They established their home on the farm in Cato Township. Joseph farmed for over 40 years. In 1986, they moved to Devils Lake where they made their home through the years.
Joseph was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge. He was also treasurer of Cato Township Board for many years. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1941.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 73 years, Marie; sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Jacqueline Bosch, Shakopee MN, Myron and Paulette Bosch, Devils Lake and Glen and Pauline Bosch also of Devils Lake; daughters and sons-in-law Marietta and Steve Good, Rolla ND, Lynette Settee, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Joyce and Tim Ketsdever, Fruita CO, Joan and Keith Ness, Devils Lake, Marlene and Ron Wichael, Thornton CO and Peggy and Joel Anderson, Starkweather ND; 26 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers Paul (Isabelle) Bosch and Edward (Eleanor) Bosch; sisters Mary Lauinger and Margaret Lange; sister-in-law Pat Bosch and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Steven Good, granddaughter Carly Settee, daughter-in-law Jan Bosch, brothers Anton, Lawrence, Michael, George and Arnold, sisters Regina, Emma, and Leona, seven brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, grandparents Anton and Agnes Senger and Lawrence and Ottilla Bosch and many baby angels in Heaven.
