Julie Lynn Christianson

Julie Lynn Christianson, 27 of Devils Lake and Minot, ND passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota with her loving family at her side.

Funeral Services for Julie will be held at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Paulson officiating. Burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday beginning at 12:00 noon until time of service.

Julie Lynn was born on November 18, 1990 at Grand Forks, ND the precious daughter of Wade and Marlene (Rham) Christianson. She lived and was educated in Devils Lake, attending Minnie H Elementary School, Middle School and Devils Lake High School.  With determination she received her GED shortly after leaving high school. 

Julie was a dedicated, hard-working employee and worked at various jobs in the area including McDonald’s, Prairie Heights, Cenex Gas Station and as a driver for A-1 Taxi.

Julie met the love of her life, Charles E. Blue in 2008 and they have made a beautiful life together full of love and laughter along with the tears and trials of the death of their son and the continuing health problems for Julie. But they had each other, the love and support of family and their faith to get them through those difficult times.  Julie has courageously battled juvenile diabetes since the age of 2 and other health problems beginning at age 8. 

Julie enjoyed doing many different craft projects, cooking and fishing with her Dad. She received an award for a Whooper White Bass she caught on Devils Lake.  She was a rummage sale fanatic and so enjoyed going from neighborhood to neighborhood visiting old and new friends.  Time spent with family and friends were her most treasured moments. 

Julie is survived by Charles E. Blue and their son Koltin Owen Christianson; step daughters Cierra and Cheyanne Posseen; her parents Wade and Marlene Christianson, Devils Lake; brother Justin (Paige Schempp) Christianson and nephew Liam; grandmother Florence Rham; great grandmother Mary MacArthur both of Devils Lake; uncles and aunts Chris (Lynette) Christianson, Austin, MN, Paul (Dorothy) Christianson, Lisbon, ND, Cindy Woolridge, Bismarck, ND and Cindy Rham, Wahpeton, ND; special family friends Charles Blue Sr., Belcourt, ND, Lori Blue, Moorhead, MN, Jessica Parisien, Raelynn Dunham, RaeAnne YoungBird, Cheryl Blue, Deanne Blue, Sara Blue, Misty Blue, Angel Blue and Waylon Blue.

She was preceded in death by her son Kentin Charles Blue; grandparents Lynn Rham, William and Joyce Christianson and uncle David Rham.
