Julie D. Wagenman, 53 of Devils Lake formerly of Bisbee ND passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital.

Funeral Services for Julie will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake ND with Reverend Kevin Anderson officiating.  Julie will be laid to rest in the Bisbee Cemetery in the spring of 2022.  Please wear bright, cheery colors to the service as a tribute to Julie’s bright smile.

Julie Diane, daughter of Rodney and Marylen (Foss) Wagenman was born on July 6, 1968 in Rolette, North Dakota.  Julie grew up in Bisbee and attended school there.  She graduated from Bisbee-Egeland High School with the class of 1987. 

Julie worked in the housekeeping department at Towner County Medical Center in Cando for several years. Julie was blessed to be the proud Mom to Ashley.

In 1998, Julie and Ashley moved to Devils Lake and Julie continued her education at Lake Region State College, earning a degree as an Administrative Assistant.  Julie’s priority was her daughter. She worked at Marketplace Motors, Job Service and for the past 13 years as a secretary at the Volk Human Service Center. She was definitely in the right job, she had a giving heart, a listening ear, was always so kind, and patient. 

Julie was a talented artist, was Garth Brooks best fan, and was the lone Chicago Bear fan, among so many Viking fans. She was the go-to person for everyone in her family when it came to all those IT questions and problems. 

Julie’s pride and joy, her world were her grandkids. The absolute loves of her life were her family, every single member of her family.  She loved you all. 

Julie’s loving family include her daughter Ashley (Qunicy) Jones and grandchildren Ada and Riyu Jones all of Devils Lake; mother Marylen Wagenman, Bisbee ND; brothers and sisters Terry (Janee) Wagenman, Sherburn, MN, Jeanne (Keith) Wibe, Rolla ND, Daniel Wagenman, Gerber, CA, David (Diane) Wagenman also of Gerber, Michael (Kris) Wagenman, Bisbee, ND and Joni (Tee) Young of Devils Lake; father of Ashley, Michael Atkinson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Rodney, grandparents Peder and Mabel Foss and John and Dessie Wagenman.
